Welcome to the first annual Advanced Long-Form Summer Intensive 2010.

For students who have significant training and performance experience, including experience with long-form, we offer 5-day advanced, small-ensemble, intensive study that goes beyond any Long-Form training you will find. A perfect opportunity for either individuals or pre-existing ensembles to study at an advanced level,  deepening their capacity for connection and ensemble, and learning new common language and techniques around advanced long-form improvisation.

Students will work in specific genres, creating satisfying, nuanced narratives while preparing for performances on the final day of the intensive.

Students in the 5-day advanced Long-Form Intensive will be expected to do genre research before the workshop begins so as to be able to share a body of knowledge and work within those genres.  Students will perform in 1 of 2 performances on Sunday August 29 with a post-show reception following the final day of study and performance.

Enrollment in the Advanced Long-Form Intensive includes an application .  In order to apply, please submit your resume with all relevant training, performance and long-form experience to regina@improv.org.

BATS Improv is one of the best known and most innovative places for narrative long-form improvisation, and in this intensive students will have a chance to work with BATS coaches on the various Long-Form skills.  The Advanced Long-Form curriculum will be designed and directed by Rafe Chase, and taught by Rafe Chase, Diane Rachel, Kasey Klemm, Zoe Galvez, Gerri Lawlor, and Regina Saisi.

*Pay for two four-day summer intensives after June 1 and get $50 off your second intensive.

Quotes from previous participants:

• We've taken classes in San Diego, LA, Chicago from some very well known people, but these truly were the best teachers I've ever encountered.

• Great experience and vacation…my spirit and energy has been higher than it's been in the past year.

• Taking BATS Long-Form Program offers you training with the best.
